Sunbeam Tiger 2025 LSR tribute

British design student Ryan Skelley has visioned a two-seater electric roadster for 2025 t0 commemorate the centennial of the 1925 Sunbeam Tiger land speed record car.

While the original Tiger used a V12 engine to hit a record 232 kph, Skelley hypothesizes that his new concept would use lithium titanate batteries to power an electric motor and get to 100 kph in just 2.3 seconds and reach a limited top-end of 260 kph. The range is also claimed to be 1280 kilometres, although like all the other specs, this is purely theoretical… given the size of car, battery technology would have to make some huge advances over the next 15 years to achieve that kind of range.

The concept is also based on environmentally friendly materials with the tubular frame made from recycled aluminum and the seats constructed of soy foam and biofabrics.
